Nettlebed Neighbourhood Watch Scheme

Nettlebed Neighbourhood Watch is a long established scheme supported by Thames Valley Police and Nettlebed Parish Council.

How does it work?

The Neighbourhood Watch scheme is a community initiative owned and run by its members. We have developed a close liaison between neighbourhood households and the local Police.

The purpose of the scheme is: –

Information on incidents of criminal activity and ways to secure our properties are regularly distributed to members via Thames Valley Police Alerts, emailed to our Neighbourhood Watch ‘road co-ordinators’.

These are then passed to members either by email, telephone or a note through the letter box. This is particularly important for the older members in our community and the more vulnerable.

The circulation system is also used for emergency community information such as severe weather warnings.

To join the Neighbourhood Watch Scheme please contact Malcolm Lewis, Nettlebed Neighbourhood Watch Area Co-ordinator phoning 01491 641648.

To contact our local Thames Valley Police Officer direct or to report non-urgent information dial 101 (24 hours).

In emergencies contact the Police by dialling 999 at all times.
